Commonwealth Point of Light 106. Tsara'Nawwarah Abdullah Chen
Tsara’Nawwarah Abdullah Chen, representing Brunei, is the vice-chair of YASKA, providing vital welfare support to children with cancer including a pioneering residential activity camp for them to enjoy time outside hospital.
Upon completion of their treatment, children also fill out a wish-list that Tsara’Nawwarah helps make real. After hearing that a young Retinoblastoma survivor wanted to be a policeman when he grew up, Tsara’Nawwarah and the local police hosted a ceremony to award the boy with honorary policeman status. She also ensures that children are supported while in hospital, through partnering with the Ministry of Education to organise therapeutic play.
